Terms and privacy

Who we are

The Estimate Game is a free art auction prediction game run by ArtAtlas. For anything about these terms or your data, write to saad@artatlas.global or use our contact page.

The game

The game is free and just for fun. There is no money to win or lose, and nothing here is financial or investment advice.

Lots, estimates and results come from public auction listings. We do our best to keep them accurate, but auction houses can change or withdraw a lot at any time.

Scores and rankings are decided by us. If a result turns out to be wrong, we may correct scores afterwards.

Please keep usernames and messages respectful. We may rename or remove accounts that break this.

What we collect

Your account details: email, username, and the optional profile details you add (name, photo, age bracket, location, how you know the art world).

Your play: the estimates you lock, your scores, and whether you love a lot or would buy it.

Basic usage: when you visit and how long you play, so we can keep the game running and improve it.

Your taste profile

We build a taste profile from the lots you play and your reactions, so we can show you the styles you lean towards and pick lots you'll enjoy.

Sharing with art partners

We may share your email and favourite styles with selected galleries and auction houses, so they can tell you about works you might love. We never sell your data to anyone else, and we never share your estimates or scores with your name on them.

This is on by default. You can switch it off at any time in Settings, under Art partners, and we will stop including you from then on.

We may also share anonymous trends (for example, how many players love Surrealism) that never identify you.

Emails

We send sign-in emails, result emails and reminders to play. You choose how often in Settings, and every email has a one-click link to stop them.

How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep your data while your account is open. You can ask us at any time to see, correct, export or delete your data, or to stop any sharing, by writing to saad@artatlas.global. We will reply within 30 days.

If you are in the European Union or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

We may update these terms as the game grows. If something important changes, we will tell you by email or in the game.
