How close your number lands to the real hammer price. Spot on earns the full 80. The further off you are, the more it tapers, down to zero when you are way outside the range.
The quick call
The yes-or-no question on every lot, like whether the hammer clears the high estimate. Call it right and 20 points are yours. Call it wrong and you keep whatever your estimate earned.
A perfect day
Nail the hammer price and the quick call and you score the full 100. It almost never happens, which is exactly why the room remembers it when it does.
Ties break on estimate accuracy alone. Points from every lot in a season add up on the season leaderboard, and the daily board ranks just that day's lot.
